King Solomon had the fear of God. He respected him and built a temple dedicated to his honor.
At the completion of the temple, the God-fearing king called all people and prayed for them as the scripture reported,
“When Solomon had finished all these prayers and supplications to the Lord, he rose from before the altar of the Lord, where he had been kneeling with his hands spread out toward heaven. He stood and blessed the whole assembly of Israel in a loud voice, saying: “Praise be to the Lord, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he promised.
Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses. May the Lord our God be with us as he was with our ancestors; may he never leave us nor forsake us” (1 Kings 8:54-57 NKJV).
Lesson on Fear of God as it Leads to Success
God has the power to assist anyone to achieve success.
He will support anyone who pursues a mission with a good purpose of glorifying his name.
More importantly, the Creator will go extra miles to do remarkable things for a god-fearing adventurer.
In fact, there would be no unachievable task for the fellow.
In contrast, a person whose intentions are impure may not prosper.
If he or she prospers, it would not last long. A success that lasts long and also inheritable by others must inculcate the fear of God.
Prayer of Positive Motive in Christianity
Dear God, please help me to have a good motive and pursue missions that will incur your blessings.
Let my thoughts and actions result in the betterment of people’s lives.
Also, let my efforts glorify your name.
Let me succeed in my endeavors, and enable me to share the testimony of your goods throughout the world.
For in the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.
