resurrection

Christians Are Born To Rule Over Satan via Resurrection Power!

There are much benefits consisted in the resurrection of Jesus Christ; Christians must make a good use of the benefits. People who were motivated by Satan plotted against Jesus. They crucified him on the cross hoping their exercise would end his life and ministry. However, the enemies soon realized they have lost the battle since Jesus resurrected on the third day!

Jesus the Son of God resurrected from the grave on the third day to force Satan into subjection by releasing his undefeatable power to the Christians!

Hence, people who cast their trust in Jesus Christ will be in control of any situation that Satan throws at them! Believers will live overcomers’ lives on earth, (and they will also go to heaven).

All hail the power of Jesus Christ for his resurrection power will forever benefit the Christians!

he rose

No Christian should ever allow Satan to manipulate him (or her) to believe he lives under his control. Satan is not in control, Christians are in control. The enemy is the slave, and we are his master since Christ has earned us victory through his death and resurrection.

Christians have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ to live above Satan’s trials and temptations. Also, no persecution of the enemy can prevail over us since the power consist in Jesus’ resurrection has earn us upper arms.

The Holy Spirit of God has also automatically elevated believers above Satan and his cohorts!

The Bible has rightly declared, “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it” (John 1:5 NIV). Bible also stated, “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” (Romans 8:37 NKJV).

Jesus Christ has released the Holy Spirit to benefit Christians prior to his ascension to heaven. He said to his disciples,

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover” (Mark 16:17-18 KJV).

Holy Spirit Turns Christians to Champions

Children of God must allow the Holy Spirit to rule us to live overcomer’s lives on earth. We must give the Spirit of God chance to rule us into all victory as we daily pray, worship, and study the word of God.

Indeed, Christians are the sons and daughters of God commissioned to rule over the principalities and powers! We shall rule in all situations, and we shall glorify the name of God.

Hence every child of God must affirmatively declare his position that he (or she) is above, and not beneath. A true Christian should be able to declare that he is a success and not a failure!

You are the child of God I’m referring to! You ought to confidently declare, “I am a Christian and a victor because I believe in the resurrection power of Jesus Christ!” If you truly believe you are an overcomer, please shout “Halleluyah!”

Christianity and Temptation are Inseparable but Victory Sure

Christianity is a religion that gives hope and salvation, but also attracts some tough circumstances and temptations – which will eventually result to positive benefits.

temptationPaul shared his personal experience of Christianity and said, “… Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? So am I.

Are they ministers of Christ?—I speak as a fool—I am more: in labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequently, in deaths often. From the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one.

Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep; in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fasting often, in cold and nakedness” (2 Corinthians 11:22-27).

Lesson on Christianity and Temptation

Children of God may face trials and persecutions for their faith, but God will help them overcome all.

Christ promised victory for his saints and said,

binoculars-1464304-1279x933“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

Christ’s affirmative statement of victory should be resounding in every Christian’s mind.

Trials, temptations, and persecutions would remain temporal in our lives. No matter how tough a situation may appear, we will still overcome!

Meanwhile, Satan will try whatever he can in an attempt to break our confidence.

His efforts may include an attack on our testimonies; he may instigate people to abuse us, and he may aim at hurting us emotionally.

rick-24127_640Meanwhile, our steadfastness in Jesus Christ is very important.

Jehovah will not allow our tears to go unaccounted for.

He will reward our endurance, and he will decorate our lives with honor. Steadfast Christians will receive God’s good rewards from this earth to heaven.

praying-25596_640Prayer on Christianity and Temptation

Dear God, please give me your strength to remain a steadfast Christian.

Enable me to keep irresistible faith in time of trial, temptation, and persecution. Strengthen my mind not to fall into Satan’s temptations.

Empower me through your Holy Spirit to live an acceptable life before you always, so that I can receive your benefits in this world and in heaven also.

For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.

Christians To Have Confidence In God During Trial

confidence

Children of God must have confidence in God and know that he is with them at all times. Apostle Paul declared, “If God be for us who can be against us?” Romans 8:31

History has repeatedly made it clear that God is ever faithful to deliver those who trust in him. He defended his children during bible time, and he is still doing the same today!

God of the universe that Christians serve is faithful to help us triumph during challenges.

Christians are God’s children; we occupy a special place in his heart, and he will benefit us with his limitless provision and protection.

It is important that we (believers) trust God when we are at the point of needs. Why? God is an Omnipotent one – His strength has no limit!

During bible time, Jehovah performed all kinds of miracle to protect and provide for his children. God’s supernatural power raised the death; parted the sea, and rained manner from heaven. God also rained stones to defend his children in the past!

A special example of how God delivered his children from trouble can be found in 2 Chronicle 20. God’s children were oppressed and surrounded by enemies that outnumbered them.

The enemies intended to loath the land of Judah and kill God’s people. However, Jehovah turned table against the enemies.

King Jehoshaphat of Judah called on God for his defense. He cried out to God in prayer and trusted him for help.

The king prayed,

“O our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You” (2 Chronicles 20:12).

God responded to Jehoshaphat’s prayer with a promise to deliver his land from the oppressors. Jehoshaphat trusted God and made a decision to start praising God immediately.

king

King Jehoshaphat demonstrated his confidence in God!

As King Jehoshaphat trusted God for his promise, he organized people to praise God. His action impressed God who immediately insinuated confusion in the camp of his enemies. The enemies began to kill each other until no one remain standing. Bible reported,

“Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated. For the people of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir to utterly kill and destroy them. And when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, they helped to destroy one another” (2 Chronicles 20:22-23).

strength

God’s Strength Is Ever Active Till Date

The living God that Christians serve has undiminished strength. God can go to any extent to care for his people. Jehovah who is an Omniscient one will help whoever reserves his complete trust in him!

A person’s attitude towards God will dictate the amount of breakthrough he will receive from him. That is, the more a person trust God, the more his blessing would be. Therefore anyone who intend to receive full benefit should question himself (or herself) whether he deeply trust God or not.

Do you genuinely and deeply trust God during your difficult moment?

To enjoy God’s defense and provisions, your heart must fully rest on God! You must have confidence that he won’t disappoint you when you need his assistance.

Enemies Lose Battle When You Trust God

Have you considered what your enemies will suffer if you trust God? Your enemies will suffer unimaginable losses as you exercise Trust in God!

God dealt with King Pharaoh who oppressed his children (Exodus 11-15). The same God will deal with whoever raises a finger against you – The beloveth of the Lord!.

Be assured of God’s help if you are a Christian and are currently passing through a challenging moment. God’s help is on the way for you!” You will soon laugh and praise God for his deliverance.

Trust God and wait for his salvation! He will fulfill his promises so that you can praise his name.

Consider to pray to enhance your trust in God. Please pray,

Dear God, I am grateful that you are alive and ever active to defend your children from their troubles! I know you care and you will solve my problems.

Please increase my faith so that I can have confidence and trust you! As I trust you, let my trial turn to a testimony, and let me celebrate my victory to the glory of your name. For in the name of Jesus Christ I have prayed. Amen.

Trust God and Wait For His Salvation

Trust God

Believers must trust God and have full assurance that he is in control of our lives.

Jehovah is ever present with his people; he will remain close to us and remain faithful to his promises in our lives.

The heavenly Father will ever remain present to cater for us (his children) in whatever circumstances of life we may be undergoing.

God will help us overcome problems.

God will move mountains and level valleys for as many that can completely trust him.

It is important that Christians trust God in every situation.

overcomer

The scripture reminds us,

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea” (Psalm 46:1-2).

Some Challenges That Christians May Face in Trusting God

The call for Christians to trust God may sound easy, but it may be sometimes difficult to demonstrate.

Christians may be tempted to look somewhere else other than to God during afflictions.

However, no matter how difficult a situation may appear, believers must always remember that God is greater than our challenges.

Christians must be careful not to make irrational decision during our trying moments.

Believers must avoid the following factors:

    1. Temptation to focus on challenges

    1. Temptation to seek for quick fix solution (temporal solution)

    1. Temptation to live in pretense – (denial of a problem)

  1. Temptation to solely rely on human knowledge (which is limited)

Importance of Trusting God

As Christians, we must understand the greatness of our God and demonstrate strong faith in him (especially during our difficult moments).

We may not have money, material, or other resources needed to confront our tough situations, but we have God who has all things at his disposal.

He owns the whole world at the palm of his hands. He is in control of all situations, and therefore will neither leave nor forsake us at any moment.

Psalm 121 declares:
I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleepthe Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”

Some Facts that Christians Must Remember about Trusting in God

  • We serve a conquering God. Our God is able to conquer all battles of life and award us victory!

There will be no mountain so high or a valley so low that he will not take care.

God can, and he will handle the “lows” and “highs” for his children.

He will make all things work together for the advantage of people that serve him!

  • The purpose of God’s engagement in any situation is to glorify himself.

Since believers are his children, he will do the needful to honor himself in our lives.

That is, the Creator will fight and win battles for the sake of defending his interest in their lives.

  • God has a plan for all situations. He is ever active.

The fact that a problem may exist does not mean our God is passive.

He works with his own schedule and he will ultimately help his children have victory at the appointed time.

Christians must continue to trust God in every circumstance, since the Creator will show up in due time to honor himself in our lives.

How to Trust God?

It may not be an easy choice for anyone to trust God during adversity but a good Christian must not consider it an impossible task.

There is no technicality in the process of trusting God.

What a believer must do is to read the word of God; meditate in it; confess it, and exercise it.

That is, as a Christian you must:

    1. Read the word of God and meditate in it – Read bible as if it applies to you.

    1. Confess the word of God that you read.

    1. Train your mind to think about God and his demonstrative power as learned in the bible.

    1. Think less of your problem, but focus more on God.

  1. The more your attention is placed on God, the lighter your problem will appear.

How To Appropriately Trust God

Anyone can be tempted to gauge his level of trust in God based on feelings.

However, such practice should be considered a “Nay” for a good Christian.

Christianity is not based on human roller coaster emotion. It is not based on feelings!

Christianity is based on faith. Believers don’t have to “feel” how they trust God!

The bible says,

For we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV)

All we have to do is to “live” in the word of God. This fact is validated in the bible stating,

“…But the just shall live by his faith” (Habakkuk 2:4; Hebrews 10:38).

A person who reads the word of God and declares it with faith is already living in trust.

To reaffirm: A believer who exercises trust does not depend on an emotional validation.

Christians must shift attention from their problems, and focus on God.

The bigger the Creator appears in our hearts, the lighter our problems will become.

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27 KJV).

Once the step of faith is exercised, the miracles of God will begin to happen.

A tough situation will take positive turns.

The light of God will take over, and darkness would disappear!

A child of God who exercises his trust in God will receive an expected deliverance and praise the name of God.

God Is Faithful: He Fulfills Promises

trustGod never fails. He fulfills his promises for his people.

His wonders could be easily accounted for in the life of King David, who hailed from a common family in a small town, and he held no significant position among his siblings; yet God had a special plan for his life.

He promised to make him the king of Israel. (1 Samuel 16).

The Creator raised David from a very lowly position to a high ranking one.

He made him prevail over his life battles and crowned him as the rightful king of Israel – as He earlier promised him.

The scripture testified,

“…So David went on and became great, and the Lord of hosts was with him” (1 Chronicles 11:9).

Lesson on God’s Promises

confidenceGod does not lie, and he will not change his position towards his children.

He will fulfill whatever he has promised us – under whatever condition.

Although life battle may be tough and the going may be tough, but children of God will ultimately have victory.

Since God never compromised a promise, he will not change his mind, but he will stand by his word to see his children sharing testimony.

promises

Since the heavenly Father ever deliver on promises, all what his children should do it to profess their faith in him.

Yes, a person that is passing through a challenging moment may be tempted to doubt God.

But he or she should summon courage to keep confessing his trust in God.

Tough times don’t last.

They will remain temporal for anyone who keep professing his faith in God.

In fact, the Scripture stated,

“Since ancient times no one has heard or perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who intervenes for those who wait for him. (Isaiah 64:4 NEB).

Even for better comprehension, another Bible verse stated,

“But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him. (1 Corinthians 2:9 NKJV)

Prayer of Affirmation for God’s Promises

prayer of confidence

Dear God, please help me to reserve my unwavering faith in you under whatever condition.

Please declare your promises of goodness over my life.

I know that your promises are sure, and they will truly come to pass.

Therefore, I ask that you please declare into my life: Victory over sickness, triumph over adversity, and testimony over trials.

Grant me good health, long life, and prosperity, and help me to enjoy all your goodness throughout the days of my life.

For in the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.

Affliction Will Turn To Blessing For Christians

affliction

Life is full of lessons to learn, and it sometimes consists of affliction and some tough situations to battle with. Children of God must understand that our heavenly Father is ever standing besides us to help us overcome whatever situation that we might be going through.

The fact about God remains that he will keep his sincere friendship with us – Even when any earthly friend has deserted us.

Learn from David in the Bible

despire

Crisis forced him to recognize his true friends.

David who had wrongly assumed that all people loved him got to know the reality of life when his own son deposed him and his trusted friends followed suit.

David, while escaping from his son Absalom got to know the true color of a friend called Shimei who summoned courage to curse him to his face, and cast both stone and dust at him to customarily express his dissatisfaction to his government.

The scripture reported,
bibleNow when King David came to Bahurim, there was a man from the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei the son of Gera, coming from there.

He came out, cursing continuously as he came. And he threw stones at David and at all the servants of King David. And all the people and all the mighty men were on his right hand and on his left.

Also Shimei said thus when he cursed: “Come out! Come out! You bloodthirsty man, you rogue! The Lord has brought upon you all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose place you have reigned; and the Lord has delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom your son. So now you are caught in your own evil, because you are a bloodthirsty man!” (2 Samuel 16:5-8).
Although Shimei later apologized, but the lesson is already learned! (2 Samuel 19,20; 2 Samuel 19:18-20).

Learn Lesson from Affliction

confusionLife is all about learning, and children of God must attempt to learn from every situation that we may be experiencing.

God does not afflict anyone, but he sometimes allows his children to pass through difficult moments so that we can learn some necessary lessons that we would have preferred to avoid, but which are necessary for our growth and success.

God teaches lessons in afflictions, and he uses uncomfortable situations to stiffen our loose ends for the purpose of blessing us, and glorifying his name in our lives.

Christians must learn how to trust God during affliction period. We must learn how to interpret God’s voice through our afflictions, and we must learn how to listen to his voice and obey it!

Depending on any given situation, we may not necessarily need to seek for a quick breakthrough until we have learned enough lessons that God desires.
shine light

No doubt that God will turn our afflictions to triumph after we have learned and appropriately responded to his teachings.

God will turn our trying moments to our advancements. Our lives would become better, and his name will be glorified.

The Creator will surely help us to overcome every crisis that may come our way, and he will utilize every moment of our affliction to build our characters and confidence; he will transform us into some very sharp instrument that are fit for his glory.

Prayer to Overcome Affliction

hopeDear God, please teach me every lesson that I need to learn to fit your purpose.

Help me to adequately respond to training, and utilize every challenge that I face to build my character and confidence so that I can become fit for your honor.

Please turn whatever challenge the enemy might be throwing at me into my blessing.

Make whatever the enemy intend for evil turn around to become my blessing.

Train and fine-tune your grace in my life so that I can become prosperous in this life and also bear profiting fruits for your kingdom.

For in the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen!
